Shockoe Bottom Clay Studios and Gallery, established in 2015, is nestled in the historic Shockoe Bottom neighborhood. Our gallery houses 10 ceramic studios and showcases the breathtaking artwork of regional and local artists, creating a vibrant hub for ceramic creativity.

Our gallery boasts an ever-changing inventory of high-quality functional and sculptural ceramics from both nationally recognized and emerging artists. Visitors will find a diverse range of ceramic pieces, from personal items like earrings and wedding gifts to kitchenware, lighting, and home decor.

Our dedication to art hasn’t gone unnoticed; we’ve been featured in Virginia Living Magazine and recognized as one of the best by RTD. As a local, woman-owned establishment, we are proud to celebrate the craftsmanship of our all-ceramic gallery in our 9th year of business.

Our facilities are equipped with kilns, a slab roller, and ample workspace for artists to create and collaborate. We regularly host events designed to highlight artists’ work while educating the public about the art of ceramics. Our gallery not only exhibits the outstanding craftsmanship of over 35 ceramic artists but also serves as a retail space where you can purchase their work, both in-store and online
