Studio Artists
Sally Ann McKinsey Sisk has been working in clay for over 10 years. She has exhibited her work nationally and has taught ceramics workshops throughout the Southeast. She grew up in Aiken, SC and received a Bachelor of Arts in Art from Furman University in 2010, concentrating in ceramics. She also received a Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA in 2013. As a result, much of Sally Ann’s work has explored concepts at the intersection of materiality and spirituality.
Sally Ann lives and works in Richmond, VA with a studio at Shockoe Bottom Clay Gallery and Studios, under the brand St. Catherine’s Wheel. Sally Ann is also the co-creator of Wheel & Plane, an artists collective, online gallery, and small editions publisher, with her spouse, graphic designer Drew Sisk.
Grace Eun Mi Lee
Grace Eun Mi Lee is a Korean born ceramic artist who’s known for her creative one-of-kind installations and functional pieces.
Inspirations behind her creatively whimsical designs are driven from her imagination of the details in our daily lives that don’t receive proper attention. The personalities visible in each of her pieces is a representation of the missed details.
She applies her classical training in ceramics in a very contemporary form that generates curiosity from the audience.
Grace received her BFA in Craft Design from Suwon University in 2005 and her MFA in Ceramics at Hongik University in 2009. Further to her studies, she was an Artist-in-Residence at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, Canada from 2011 to 2014.
She is a recipient of numerous grants and awards from Ontario Arts Council, Ontario Craft Council, Toronto Outdoor Arts Exhibition, and Cheongju Internation Craft Competition.
More recently, Grace’s work has been featured in various forms of public media including television, magazines and numerous online articles.
Her body of work can be seen across the world in Seoul, London, Paris, Bejing, Toronto, and now Richmond.
